Easter Basket Fillers...that aren't candy!

Only a few more weeks until the Easter Bunny hops into your living room and leaves a basket full of…sugar. If you’re anything like me, you’ve spent hours each year trying to find things to fill your child’s Easter basket that won’t lead to the dreaded afternoon sugar crash or fill your pantry with more uneaten chocolate. We have nothing against candy at our house, but I’ve found that after I fill the plastic eggs for our hunt, I’ve reached my candy max. Over the years, I’ve settled on things like swim trunks, beach shoes, fun socks, cheap watches, bubbles, and art supplies. This year, I’m sneaking in a few things from my workshop, as well:

Our wooden puzzles come in a variety of shapes and make for a fun gift. They each come in a drawstring canvas bag for easy storage.

This is the perfect gift for the art-loving kid. The kit includes a handmade Tic Tac Toe board, five colors of paint, two paintbrushes and 10 game pieces. Current designs include cars/airplanes, unicorns/rainbows, bunnies/eggs, and dinos. If you have a shape request that isn’t listed here, let me know!

Woodland animals, dinos, and a bear family round out our wooden toy offerings. My little guy loves setting up all the animals in the forest and developing elaborate story lines about each character. Some days, the dinos invade the forest, creating lots of roars and laughter.
